There must be few better ways to deflate an intended insult than to gleefully adopt it. The gang from After the Bar Closes (sort of the rec room of The Panda’s Thumb) have since appropriated “Church Burnin’ Ebola Boys” as a term of endearment.

Ah, so it’s like the “Howler Monkey” moniker for t.o regulars, then.
There must be few better ways to deflate an intended insult than to gleefully adopt it.

Congratulations to you. I plan on celebrating the usual way today, nothing special. Go out, hunt up a Christian, tie them to a pagan tree, hang fossils on them, and then sing and drink and have fun. Some years, at the end of the festivities, if they have been good, which means crying and begging for their very lives, we untie them and let them go. And there are even some years, when we don't even light them on fire! Anyone else have any other customs they like to follow on Darwin day? Outstanding work as usual I see! Congratulations to you.
