Do you plan on seeing Expelled?
If you haven’t read PZ Myers’ account of getting expelled from Expelled, do so now: it’s a must-read.
I was planning on blogging about this eventually, but PZ’s post lit a fire under my ass. I’m curious: do you plan on seeing Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed? If so, do you plan on seeing it in the theater, waiting for the DVD release, or waiting for it to be broadcast on your local Public Access station?
The more I think about it, the more I want to see the movie at the local Cineplex. I know about all the arguments for not wanting to give these scumbags any money, but the opportunity to “people watch” is getting to be tempting. I’m really interested in what sort of person will be going to see the movie. Will it be people who genuinely think Expelled is going to be some sort of damning indictment, or will it be people going to see it out of morbid curiosity?

I’m running out of naming options for these increasingly sick people. I started out a month ago with Church Burners. Then I had to add Ebola Boys. Church Burning Ebola Boys. Now what - Church Burning Baby Butchering Ebola Boys? That’s too long. Too unwieldy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Source:

I’ll check out a bootleg version only. I think they will be aggressively checking for bootlegs on the INTERNET i am sure. not to protect their waste of an investment in the film but to prevent it from being posted in places where people can freely discuss it and fact check it

There is no way they’ll get a penny of my money. I freely admit that I’m going to download the pirated version, this isn’t something that I’d even waste money on the DVD of.
Seriously though, I was talking to my wife this morning and we thought it would be hysterical to get some people together and put out the MST3K version of Expelled, just releasing the audio track online that people could match up with their… ahem… DVD copy of the film and watch. Just rip the crap out of it for the amusement of all.

That’s an excellent idea, Cephus.
I’m glad a few people have gone to see the preview. I’m really curious as to whether or not the Pink Floyd song will be used in the final cut, and if the producers are going to include a better definition of Intelligent Design. In fact, I’m wondering if they might have to push the release date to a later time.
I truly don’t want to give these assholes any of my money, but I also want to see how the crowd reacts to all that Hitler crap.
Maybe I can just hang outside the theater with a video camera and get Man on the Street interviews of people who watched it… I’m so conflicted…

Jeez, I would really LOVE to see it, but I have to go wash my hair.
But seriously, they are not getting one red cent… I MIGHT to the Multi-plex thing and buy a ticket for a real movie, and duck in to see a couple of minutes, but hey, I gotta couple of ID Creationists down in the basement right now, so if I want to hear them crying , I’ll just go down there and feed them some more, maybe give them a little sip of water.
Hey, they gotta be somewhere while they are waiting for the rapture, right?
